Hello,
I hope this message finds you well.

We are seeking your assistance in bringing
the Christmas spirit to the less fortunate. This holiday season, we are
organising a drive to collect sponsorships, donations and miscellaneous items
for the inhabitants of Oko Awo slum, in Yaba, Lagos. All your donations will be
delivered directly (by us) to the inhabitants of the slum on Tuesday 29th December, 2015, and any monetary
support/sponsorships would be channelled toward immediate development projects
for the slum.
We are looking for support in the form of
sponsorships, small household goods and non-perishable food items, clothing,
books, amongst others. Below is a list of items that we are asking for:
- · Books and writing materials
- · School bags
- · Non-perishable foods
- · Clothes(in wearable condition)
- · Shoes(in wearable condition)
- · Toiletries
- · Mattress
- · Beddings
- · Touch light with batteries
- · Drinks
N.B:
This list is non-exhaustive; it is merely suggestive, so feel free to fill in
any gaps.
Donating and contributing is easy, and it
will bring great joy to you, your family and most importantly, the inhabitants
of Oke-Awo. We will be setting up drop off points across the city, and in
exceptional cases, we might also be able to pick up items.

For those who would like to contribute but
are not in a situation to at the moment, we are also looking for volunteers who
can assist us on the day we will be disseminating the donated items at slum.
This is a great opportunity for families, especially those with pre-teens and
teenagers, as this provides an opportunity for them to make a positive
difference in the lives of others, and it will also help them recognise their
personal good fortune and blessings.
For us, this drive will mark another step
towards establishing a continued and long-lasting relationship with the slum,
focusing on community driven development.
For
more information and to get details of the drop off points, please contact us on 08108639722, 08180994073.
God bless you and Merry Christmas!
